First game for FIBA

I love covering the National team. It gives me an opportunity to contribute to the programme and to catch-up with the players who ply their trade abroad.

In charge for this game was Marc Steutel, who I’d originally met when on the opposite bench in many a D1/BUCS battle between Loughborough & Northumbria. The game was a great reward for Marc’s dedication to British basketball and no more fitting setting than the Newcastle Eagles Arena.

What unfolded was one of the most memorable results in Great Britain’s history. It was also my first time capturing the game for the world’s governing body FIBA.
