This weekend I headed over to Birmingham for their annual West Midlands All-stars event.

Basketball is quite a close-knit community in the UK and having coached these past two seasons I thought I should get to more community events. It helps me to get a real understanding of the game, the origins and the people who dedicate their time to the sport regionally.

It was also a chance to catch-up with Sedale Hanson-Young who I first watched in the BBL playing for Cheshire Phoenix, but has since been spending his time playing stateside.
