Trotters at the Wombles

I’ve shot at Wimbledon a couple of times this past year, once in pre-season against Colchester & once versus Portsmouth in the EFL.

When the club I was a mascot for as a kid in the old fourth division and spent several years writing for in the Sam Allardyce era in the Premier League , visited the Wombles it was an opportunity to shoot the club I support.

In many ways these clubs have more in common than just their close proximity in the league would suggest. The club are very much part of its community.

Wimbledon, like Bolton, have been through the mill in recent times — their fans have stuck by them.

They’ve both faced extinction — somehow survived, and come out the other side.
